Founded in 1860, Prosper-Maufoux is nestled within the Château De Saint-Aubin. Under the guidance of head winemaker Nadine Gublin (Domaine Jacques Prieur), the estate embraces a modern approach in the cellar, focusing on elegance, finesse, and terroir expression.
Aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks. Semi translucent vibrant red to dark red colour with black toned edges and a light red hue. Fragrant red cherry aromas infused with fresh herbs drift out of the glass followed by hints of winter strawberry, earth and spice. Light and bright the palate is greeted with a savoury mix of sour to red cherry and winter strawberry fruits which meld into a delicate earth, dried herb and spice back drop. Possessing fine grained tannins and fresh acidity it has an elegant, red fruited finish. -
