One of the 'parents' of the Gut Oggau range, this Blaufrankisch is a wild and unfettered red that you won't want to stop drinking.
Josephine falls onto the parental branch of the fictional Gut Oggau family tree, where the personalities are more intense and show a natural power and confidence. She's a lusty character, all fresh red and black fruits, smouldering earthy spices and fine drying cold tea tannin. The Blaufrankisch brings the pop of bright fruit, but there's still a darkness and some deep thumping bass to the blend.
Only a short eight months in oak has seen this emerge as a primary red wine with fruit as the star of the show.
