When the name of your wine implies food, we hope, and expect, that it’s an indicator that there is a wine/food pairing to be had.
And that’s exactly what we have here, a slew of Italian varieties (Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Nero d’Avola), plus some Merlot, combine in this mid-weight red, that is juicy, bright and full of pasta melting tannins.
Nebbiolo shines through here as the dominant grape, perfumed, blue fruited and savoury structured a la Langhe. With the other varieties adding some softness, spice and a bit of pizzaz. Pasta, pizza, doesn’t matter, this wine is made for anything Italian and full of delicious carbs.
