Super perfumed, loads of violet, blackberry and a little smoky charcuterie reduction, classic cool(er) climate example. The palate has great intensity this year, lots of cassis and plum framed with grippy straight tannins, great acidity, really long in the mouth finishing a little savoury with blackberry leaf and red currants. An intense Yarra Syrah, with a little extra body and a lot of complexity. Great value, this too, won't be here for long. -
